From Dave Smith:

Quote:
First, go to your ACP, and on the "GENERAL" page, down the bottom left menu below "SERVER CONFIGURATION" select "Load settings". Down the bottom of the middle box of stuff called "General Options", you'll find "Recompile stale style components" and you should select this to "yes", then at the bottom of the page hit the "Submit".

Second, and this is the best bit, every time you work on a style file you can quickly see it's effect without all the rigmarole you just explained to me, which I had been doing myself until I found the answer...

Let's say you've made changes to the "custom.css" file, which lives in the "theme" folder of that style. Upload the changed file, then just go to the ACP "STYLES" tab, on the left-hand menu under "STYLE COMPONENTS" select "Theme" (because this is the folder which 'custom.css' is in) and then over on the right, under "ACTION" in the "thunderbolts" line select "Refresh". Then go take a look at your page, and it should have the change incorporated! Too easy!

Thanks Dave!
